Clients pay me when I have "solved" their case.
This “honor system” has worked well for clients and me. If I cannot locate the person, the client does not pay me. I have worked for many clients who cannot afford to pay me but have a great interest in finding a relative. If that is the case for you, please let me know.
* Please Note: I cannot force a relative to take a DNA test to confirm the biological relationship to you.
However, I have several letter templates that can be used to correspond to the relative(s).
What does it mean to “solve" a case?
Sometimes a case is very clear as to the identity of the parent or other relative that the client is looking for. Other times, I get to the end of the case only to learn that an ancestor or parent (for example) had siblings who might have also been the direct ancestor or parent. For example, from the DNA and other evidence, suppose I determine that the birth mother is one of two sisters, both of whom died as young adults and without having other children. That case is concluded as “solved” although I cannot determine which of the two sisters was the birth mother. I can offer educated guesses based on other evidence. I consider that case as being solved – at least in terms of the work that I can do.

Some cases are solved quickly - within a few days or weeks. Other cases are more challenging, and it might take me a month or more to solve your case. In either case, I expect payment when I solve your case – not before.

Most of the people that I have helped are residing in the USA. I am also very familiar and have access to the ancestral records in Ireland, England, Wales, and Scotland. As a result, I have helped to solve cases in those countries as well.
